Join us for an inspiring and practical day exploring the art and science of wild flower meadows at Manor Farm, near Bath. Hosted by Laurie MacIntyre, partner at Emorsgate Seeds, this hands-on training day offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from one of the UK’s leading wild flower seed specialists. With deep-rooted knowledge and a genuine passion for species-rich grasslands, Laurie will guide you through the principles of meadow creation, restoration, and long-term management.
Set within the beautiful surroundings of Manor Farm, you’ll experience a working farm made up of a rich patchwork of meadows and pasture. The land is grazed by shire horses, sheep, and cattle, alongside crops of wild species seed crops. The grasslands are diverse, species-rich, and managed under Environmental Stewardship, with restoration projects dating back over 25 years.
This is a valuable opportunity to:
- Explore a variety of grassland types
- Learn practical techniques for creating and restoring wildflower meadows
- Understand long-term management approaches
- Improve your native wild plant identification skills
