After you have completed your order, you will receive an email acknowledgement of your request. Whilst we endeavour to keep the information on our website as up to date as possible, supplies of a few items are restricted and we also take orders by post. Before we accept your order in full we will check availability. We will email you an order confirmation with any variations necessary.
Due to the cost of bank transactions we have a minimum order policy for online orders of £20.
We aim to dispatch most orders within 1 working day of receipt of order and payment. Complex, unusual orders and bespoke mixtures may on occasion take longer. For time critical deliveries please contact us and we will do our best to help.
Orders under £50 are sent by standard 1st class Royal Mail post which means most deliveries should arrive within 5 working days of dispatch.
Orders over £50 in value or 1.5kg in weight are sent via currier and recorded, most deliveries should arrive within 2 working days of dispatch. This service can be tracked and a record of delivery is available to you online.
Currier sent deliveries need to be signed for, and may arrive at any time during the day, so you will need to be available. We can pass on your instruction to leave goods if you are out in a safe dry place without requiring a signature, please add these in the Special Instructions box on checkout. As we will not obtain a signature from yourself we can only do this to your written instructions and entirely at your risk. We cannot accept any claim for lost or damaged goods in these circumstances and if our carrier are unable to follow your instruction, the goods will be returned to us and any cost incurred will be chargeable back to you.
Postage and Packing
All handling, packaging and delivery charges to mainland destinations in England, Wales and Lowland Scotland are free of charge.
Deliveries to Scottish Highlands, Isle of Wight & Isle of Man are charged at £10 up to 2kg in weight, orders of 2kg – 20kg in weight are changed at £16.
Due to recent changes in regulations, we are unfortunately unable to ship outside mainland UK, including Northern Ireland.
VAT/FRA (Flat Rate Addition)
We are registered with the VAT authorities as “flat rate farmers”. This means that we charge our VAT registered customers a “flat rate addition” (FRA) of 4% on all our supplies. This can be reclaimed in the usual way. Non VAT registered customers do not need to add VAT or FRA. FRA registration No: FRF 10-000071.
A guide to current availability can be found within the ordering box of each species page. This information is kept as up to date as possible but, as we also accept orders by post and other means, placement of an online order does not guarantee that we can supply. If there is a problem we will contact you to let you know without delay. All seed is offered subject to availability and being unsold at the time of ordering. To be fair to all customers we do not generally accept reservations of seed stocks pending a future order. Stock can only be allocated to confirmed orders. We are happy to hold seed once purchased in our store until required.
