Description
A yellow flowering perennial wild flower of the dandelion family. It flowers before its leaves emerge in the spring. Leaves are toothed with a green/grey tinge. It was used traditionally as an ingredient in cough medicine.
Habitat Information
It is found in open or semi-open or disturbed ground in many habitats including arable land and maritime environments. Colt’s Foot provides and early source of nectar for honey bees and a larval food source for moths.

Easily grown from seed sown any time of the year.
