Meadows Demonstration Open Days 2020

An opportunity to see the results of 25 years of wild flower grassland restoration and meadow enhancement on Emorsgate's 120ha farm near Bath. The day will be hosted by Emorsgate founder Donald MacIntyre who owns and manages the farm. He will be available to share his 40 years experience with, and enthusiasm of, wild flowers and meadows.

Manor Farm, Langridge, Bath, BA1 8AJ.

Two dates: Tuesday June 23rd or Wednesday June 24th 2020.

Manor Farm near Bath consists of a patchwork of small fields managed as meadow and pasture, grazed by shire horses, sheep and cattle. The grasslands are species rich and diverse, and are managed under Environmental Stewardship.

See a range of grassland types, methods for restoring, creating and managing species diverse meadows and pasture with many examples of restoration dating back 25 years, and brush up on native wild plant identification.


To book a place on one of the two days please email stating which day you would like to attend.

There is no charge for attending this event.

Meet at Manor Farm at 10.00am and depart at 4.00pm.

The day will be based out in the fields with steep slopes so please come with sturdy out door walking shoes and waterproofs.

Do bring a packed lunch.
