Oxborough scything demonstration and meadow question time
Richard Brown from Emorsgate Seeds will be demonstrating scything techniques in the Orchard area at Oxborough Hall (National Trust) on 24 July 11.30am - 3.30pm more details
The orchard at Oxburgh was replanted with local varieties of apple, quince and medlar in 2009. The meadow beneath the trees is managed in a traditional way as a flower rich meadow.
Scything demonstrations will take place at 12 noon; 1pm; 2pm; 3pm with question and answer sessions about wildlife gardening, wild flowers and meadow management between each talk.
Bring your questions and scythe if you have one!
