Delivery

We aim to dispatch most orders within 2 working days of receipt of order and payment. Seed is sent by standard (2nd class) post or carrier which means most deliveries should arrive within 5 working days of receipt of order.

Complex, unusual orders and bespoke mixtures may on occasion take longer.

For time critical deliveries please contact us and we will do our best to help.
We can usually upgrade your consignment to 1st class post or other priority delivery services at cost, but we cannot give guarantees as to delivery times as this is in the hands of our carrier. Please also note that whilst we can upgrade the delivery time we cannot necessarily shorten the time it takes to process and dispatch your order - so please do contact us for advice first.

Deliveries above £50 in value or 1.5kg in weight will usually need to be signed for, and may arrive at any time during the day, so you will need to be available. If it is more convenient, you may wish to have the products delivered to an alternative address such as a work address where someone will be available to sign.

For orders up to £200 in value we can pass on your instruction to leave goods if you are out in a safe dry place without requiring a signature. The delivery will be recorded by our carrier and a record of delivery available to you online. As we will not obtain a signature from yourself we can only do this to your written instructions and entirely at your risk. We cannot accept any claim for lost or damaged goods in these circumstances and if our carrier are unable to follow your instruction and returns the goods to us any cost incurred will be chargeable back to you.

We reserve the option to require a signature if we feel delivery may be compromised.

For orders above £200 in value we would not be happy to have them left without being signed for.


Returns Policy

We hope that you will be fully satisfied with the seeds that we supply. If for any reason you have a problem with our products please do contact us and let us know at the earliest opportunity so that we can seek to resolve the issue.
If we have made a mistake or our seeds are defective we will of course replace or refund the items concerned without delay. Depending on the nature of the complaint we may ask for the return of the goods in question. If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is damaged or defective, we will refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and arrange collection or refund the cost of returning it to us.

In accordance with your rights to a "cooling off period" under the the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 individuals (but not a business) can cancel an order and return the goods at any time until 7 working days after receiving the goods and we will refund any payment made by you to us for the goods.

Before considering cancelling and returning seed to us please first contact us to notify us and so we can advise you on the best course of action.

Please take particular care when ordering bespoke or custom mixtures of seeds: the right to cancel does not apply in this situation as we would not be able to re-sell the goods.

To qualify for a refund the seeds must be returned to us in good condition and with their original packaging and labelling intact. Seeds are living structures and potentially a perishable product so we reserve the right to refuse their return if we suspect that the seed or packaging have been damaged (eg exposed to damp or heat). To comply with seed regulations we can only accept un-opened seed packages that are still sealed with their official labels.
Please note that if you wish to return seeds that we have correctly supplied according to your order instruction you will be responsible for returning the items to us and for the cost of returning. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service if the value of the return is more than £50. For larger consignments we can arrange collection and return and charge this back against your refund - contact us.
Any payment taken by us in respect of the goods will be reimbursed to you within 30 days of return of the goods as described. Your rights under this Returns Policy are without prejudice to any rights under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

In all other circumstances we would not normally accept goods back that have been correctly supplied by us as we cannot be sure that the seeds have been stored in the same safe manner as we would in our own seed store. Please take care when ordering.

Footnote: If you find that you are not able to sow your delivered seeds as quickly as you had hoped, or have seed left over that cannot be used straight away, do not panic. As long as you ensure the seed is stored in a cool and dry store it will still be viable for at least 12 months.
